Kraut rock´s !

A cabbage field near our home on a foggy october morning.

It´s typical for this region in austria. ......the cabbage as well as the fog!

and this is the cabbage head that will turn into a heart-warming cabbage soup!
It is a soup recipe from Greece, so it perfectly suits to protect from cold!

Put Olive oil into a pot, add chopped onions (1 or 2 ), and chopped cabbage ,

stir-fry till it smells tasty

Then pour on aproxx. 1 liter instant soup ( the quantity depends on how big your cabbage head is)
..add 1 teaspoon fennel seed, 1 teaspoon anise, lemon zest and salt.

..some lemon juice, and then let it simmer for 25 minutes.

In the meanwhile chop parsley ....

after soup is ready, put crumbled sheep cheese in a bowl, pour in the soup......

and enjoy!

BTW, this wonderful Bowl is made by my sister-in-law. She and my brother, a painter, are running the Kunstwerkstatt Ruprecht.

old , faceted....

I was lucky to find these special beads some time ago: dark coffee-brown and faceted.
I think they are venetian, in any case they are old Beads.

They have a shimmering appearance and a special effect.
They look definitely brown, but when you hold them against the light, they have a glimmer of emerald....

They are most effective crafted simply and pure. There are not too much beads left, and so I´m very stingy, using them!

Brass-Star

next is to remove the paper, to deburr, to rasp, to sand, to polish.....and to take a photo.....

My creative space

It seems to be an anachronism in times of laser cutting to do this , but I can not resist to make some of my Stars again .... Hand sawed out of brass and copper.
(It´s contemplative , and I´m quite good in these tiny things! )

another brick in the wall....

It´s a wonderful old wall on the backside of our garden, which was overrun with ivy! The thick roots and branches were almost going to destroy it . I like ivy, but I do love that wall!
..and so we decided to restore the wall!
Two days I was fighting with the plants, then I had to take the soil out .
We have a talented bricklayer, who is experienced in working with these old, uneven bricks.
...to be continued...
