Decoration

Some of my Advent decorations.... (In fact ALL of my Advent decoration... I´m not a fan of
gold and glitter, but I do love stars)

That one I made of an old plank. The copper star in the middle is gleaming when the candle is lit

Simple branches from the garden with a chain of lights...

These two are my absolute favorites! The right one I bought on an elementary school´s bazar a few years back, and the left one I found in a dumpster! Looks like that one did not meet the expectations of its producer! Anyway a lovely angel!

...And now for something completely different!

...as John Cleese used to say.....(Monty Phytons flying Circus)...

Here´s work waiting !
My husband found these beautiful, old Danish chairs on a flea market. The Rattan seating surfaces are broken, and some chair legs too! now they are waiting on the attic to be restored!
..and I am looking forward to try that by myself , as soon as my time allows to go about such a big project. ( maybe in the early autumn , cause it might be a beautiful outdoor work!)

First step was to buy this wonderful book about basket work...to read ....and to learn... and maybe to decide on spending a lot of money for a professional restorer.....we will see...

New Material!

My aquablue Feng shui globe sold out yesterday, so I have to make some new!

I have arranged some beautiful glass globes in green, aqua and light blue.
..hope I will find time within the next days to solder silver wire around.
I will show the working process, so stay tuned if you are interested to see the development.

Fengshui Globes

I created another mounting for my Fengshui globes This is a big aqua blue glass globe, diameter 4 cm /1,56" ,

These are wonderful, flewless rock cristal globes with soldered silver wire around.
I love to see them hanging on the window
all that`s reflected is bottom up.....

ART NOUVEAU Decoupage..... Giftwraps by Artists

A few weeks ago I started to write this blog to give some background infos to my current jewelry making and beadworking , mainly for my shop visitors. But now I think, maybe it would be interesting to blog some former projects too....higgledy-piggledy, quasi.

This is one of them: Two years ago my kitchen layers surfaces were borked and I had the idea
with decoupage. I took off the whole lamination and applied this "Giftwrap by Artists" with decoupage seal.

The pattern has been created in Paris 1895 , published by h.f. ullmann.

Here is a beaded necklace I created . The pattern is inspired by a beaded pouch from those days. ... Art nouveau... in Austria called "Jugendstil"
